International Collaboration on Social Determinants of Health (ICSDH)

The ICSDH is a partnership of 20 organisations working predominately in Europe on health and related issues. HAPI manages and coordinates this collaboration.

Partners of the International Collaboration on Social Determinants of Health

The aim of this collaboration is for each organisation to do what it is best at and to achieve specified outcomes in terms of addressing the social determinants of health (SDH).  Together the outputs of the organisations coalesce to cover the range of complex activities needed to address the social determinants of health.  Partners also work closely together in differing mix and match combinations  that add value to their work and help to avoid duplication of effort. Outputs from the Collaboration include:

  • Policy dialogues, workshops and conferences.

  • Publications

  • Economic modelling

  • Developing indicators and metrics

  • Networks and fora

  • Technical support and capacity building

  • Policy development

  • On-line communication channels and networks.

  • Research and evaluation

EuroHealthNet has developed an electronic mechanism for partners to exchange information, the Equity Channel.

The Collaboration is funded by the Department of Health for England.
