HAPI has supported the establishment of a network on non-communicable disease (NCD) in sub-Saharan Africa to advocate for greater attention and funding for action on NCD, in light of the increasing double burden of communicable and non-communiable disease.
The NCD network serves both as an advocacy tool for action on NCDs, as well as a mechanism for sharing effective action within the sub-Saharan African context. The network has been established and is led by the African Institute for Health and Development and the IUHPE.
We have also participated in stakeholder development led by the Aga Khan Foundation.
