Developing public health capacity
A comprehensive package of training and capacity building was delivered for a health promotion centre in Latvia, which included work on health promotion principles, evaluation and empowerment.
The team was responsibile for leading on the development of a public health strategy and impelemtnation plan for Latvia funded by the World Bank. This included in-country development and study visits and training in the UK. Twinning links were also set up between organisations in the UK and Latvia.
