Advice on developing governance structures to address health inequalities
The HAPI team leads the WHO/ Department of Health for England funded initative to support th development of governance for action on health inequalities.
The HAPI team supported WHO to develop an appraisal tool to assess health inequalities governance structures, and coordinated input from the Department of Health's health inequalities national support team and public health leadership team.
The appraisal tool was used for the first time in the mission to Slovenia. A report for the Ministry of Health has been produced, providing analysis and recommendations to support the Ministry's development of a health inequalities strategy.
